As the title states, i'd like to compile a list of all the connectors used in Macs, and to do that, i'd like to ask anyone that has knowledge of a particular part number to add it here. Once i've got a list together, i'll make a sticky post in the relevant section.

X100 PDS Slot:
I should add the correction that I actually ordered the Burndy CEE2X91S-3Z14 from TCP. They're the same part except for the pin length or plating. I'm not sure why I switched to this part. May have been an availability issue. Minimum order 4 instead 5? Too long ago...

.Burndy ELF168E5GCE-3Z50 is a 5V, 168 pin FPM/EDO DIMM socket for the X500 family and most of the contemporary Macs. It is surface mount and kind of physically fat. It's in the same style as the ROM socket but with a lever at the end to expel the DIMM. SM. The Connector People

X500/600, 7200, Other Contemporaries DRAM DIMM (5V, 168 pin, buffered):
AMP 382824-1 is a 5V, 168 pin FPM/EDO DIMM socket, so just like above, but through hole instead of SM and far thinner in footprint. This is probably a good replacement for broken DIMM sockets on boards that use this type of memory. The Connector People

AMP 3-145090-7 (the -7 is important on this part; isn't just pin length or coating). I've seen the -4's on Ebay and it's a different number of pins.

That's the through-hole part. I don't know the part number and so have not searched for the SM part. I've seen both used depending on motherboard model.

I spent about 20 years looking for that. I've had the part number the whole time, but couldn't find stock. When I first started looking, AMP was willing to send me two (2) samples, but wanted a minimum order of 1008 @$8.83 each. Or Arrow had them for $15.16 but with a minimum of 100. Apparently I took notes. :)

Anyway, just in the last year, I discovered that questcomp has it listed as in stock. Thanks for the reminder, BTW. Prompted me to order a small supply.

Way back when I was trying to build a CPU adapter for the ANS that would let one use X500/X600 CPU cards in the ANS. Too ambitious for my level of skill at the time, but I did lay out a board and try it. Didn't work. Tempting to try again, with 4-layer boards being so cheap now.

The holy grail, at least for me! OK, how about the PDS connections for the Quadra machines? They look like KEL connectors like the Amiga uses.

They are KEL and somebody over on 68kmla identified them. There was also an old link to an Amiga forum discussion about a group buy of their version of the connectors. Try looking for a thread with Wombat in the name? It's either in there, or the the author of that thread, authored another thread with the connectors in it.

It does look like it might take a bit of investment to get any of those.

It has a source for the KEL connectors but they are ~$30 each. I can't find the discussion relative to the Amiga group purchase. I think the idea was that ordering a large number direct from KEL might get the cost down under $10 each and the Amiga folks seemed to be able to do so with a quantity in the neighborhood of 100.

The Connector People list the part number for the motherboard connector, but it's listed as out of stock.

I know Stephen Leary did a mass purchase of a lot of the KEL connectors, over on exxos forum, for the A1200 accelerators he was designing, I'll have a poke around!

Regarding the Quadra/LC PDS slot it's a little special. It's a 120 pin DIN 41612 connector with 2 columns missing making it effectively a 112 pin connector. I've never seen those for sale. This gentleman shows made his own though by splicing two connectors together:

This is likely a simple one, but as always, it's only simple once you know...

What connector is used on the SE's hard drive activity LED? It's a simple two-pin deal, but there appears to be a locking mechanism that I can't quite match in my searches.

I'm looking for the male side so I can connect the trailing LED connector to my BlueSCSI board. I tried a bodge with male dupont pins, but the connection is very poor. I'd really rather not cut off the existing connector, or strip down the old hard drive (which still works!) to harvest the connector from there.

Here ya go. It's actually the same thing as the J11 speaker connector on the logic board.

It's been bugging me that we have the through hole parts available, but not the surface mount, and I know some Apple boards used the surface mount. Seems like the clones mostly used the through hole.

I've had a PM9600 logic board in the kitchen drain board for a couple of weeks (I live alone while my son's at college, so my housekeeping ain't great). And I thought, "There's an example right there. Looks like the 9500/9600 used the surface mount version. Sure would be nice if the part number was written on the part. But I've checked before and never found it. Heck, can't hurt to look at this one. I don't need to turn the food in the oven for 20 minutes."

I saw some faint markings. Looked closer and saw 145004. Got out a bright flash light and lit it up and made out 145064-1 and an extremely faint 'AMP' on the upper left corner. Checked Quest and they have (expensive) stock and the datasheet.

Bit of a frustrating one this - i'm looking for the part number of the ZIF socket used in the G3 and G4 Yikes models. I know its PGA-288 but they seem to just not exist! The one i have is an AMP branded one - i just snapped the heatsink mount off it [face-palm][male-sign]
