I treasure my wire wrap tool, as I'm not sure I could find a replacement... |

AFAIK, wire wrap was used and may still be used in the Aviation Industry, it's far more robust and reliable than soldered PCBs.
Wire Wrap Is alive And Well!Wire wrapping is an assembly technique long overlooked by the home hobbyist.

Wire wrap may be alive an well, but my favored tool came from Radio Shack, and they're long gone -- I think. Haven't checked for a lingering on-line presence in a while.

edit: probably can't get to the soldering until MON/TUE off. Inward riser arrived, the three cards will be vertically oriented. No good for a drawer, but great for my BenchMac/TestBed lashup. |

Yep, that's the one I have. I just really love having the stripper conveniently stored in the handle... |

I like that I'm hard pressed to lose the stripper on the new tool. Not sure my stripper's still inside the handle, gotta find it. :p

Anyway, you're welcome to the chips, if I can lay hands on them. The attic ladder is busted, but I brought a bunch of stuff down before. I need to check what's downstairs. I certainly have enough. According to inventory I have 2000 of them and they're in Box 38 in section AB of the attic. Or downstairs somewhere. Did a great job creating inventory; terrible job keeping it updated. I have the lumber to rebuild the attic ladder... |

Sorry to hear about being stuck in yard work mode with deficit in energy handicap, hoping better for you.
I'm jealous of your inventory system, mine's just picture of contents of color coded boxes, numbered heavy duty small moving boxes and standardized shipping display boxes with removable lids. Gotta update it too . . . No hurry at all, my soldering/rework setup is in piled over with misc. project crap mode for a bit. |

When I was much younger, I accumulated enough stuff in the attic that I could no longer always find it or even remember what I already had. Do I really need another JackHammer card? So I lugged it all back down and made a big mess out of the living room for a few weeks. With everything getting entered into inventory as it went into numbered boxes. Handwriting cramps... Assigned each space between rafters a letter code, and recorded it all. The problem now days is if I move something or remove it and never note it down...
