Is anyone out there still playing Spaceward Ho!? Is there any way to play online? I've been a little addicted lately.

If the game runs fine in an emulated environment, and the multiplayer mode is/allows some sort of AppleTalk, it could be played through Infinite Mac

Versions up to 4.x use file sharing to allow multiplayer gaming. To be more precise, invited players open the shared file to join the game.

I have been playing on 5.0.5, the latest OS X version. I want to play with my brother and nephew, but they don't want to set up a vintage Mac. :(

My first LAN parties were a bunch of us bringing over our Macs and playing Spaceward Ho. Some us were even able to run the color version.

But folks kept get kicked off the game seemingly at random. Later I figured out that File Sharing only supports 8 users, so every time we hooked up the next guy, someone got booted off.
