Hi all, so I have OSX 10.4 on my PowerBook G4 and it will run classic apps, but I just read that Sheepshaver will run on my G4 without using emulation to allow pre OSX OS's to run. Anyone got experience with this? Is there a preferred way to run older software?

Yes, you can use SheepShaver on G4 Macs.
Use this link for downloading the pre-build ShepShavers
https://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7360

Use the Version 2.4 from 2014-02-14 and use the Setup manual and read the know issues at the bottom of Roland's post (the very first post in the thread).

Just for fun I have SheepShaver on one of my G4 MDD (1.25Ghz, 2GB RAM) but I didn't do anything serious with it.
Same with the mini vMac: runs perfectly on the same G4 MDD.
