My second logic board recap was a success, I finally heard the startup chime on my SE/30! :D:D

I'm not sure if I'll be able to get the sound back on the board with the lifted c6, but I'll keep working at it.

But I can't get the board to boot from BlueSCSI for some reason. Is it advisable to reflow the pins on the internal connector? I'll check them out with a microscope first, but I'm not sure I'll be able to see anything. I've read that even the tiniest of cracks can stop it from working.

Any other advice on why the internal SCSI might not be working? I can confirm that the BlueSCSI boots my SE just fine.

Could be several things. Have you messured the 5V rail? Could be that the BlueSCSI will work with if you connect the molex connector with a converter cable. Termination power will not always work. I have a specific Mac SE where any BlueSCSI will not work on termination power.

Interesting! I'll test both of those ideas. Thank you!

Thank you! I'm juggling too many things just trying to get the board recapped and tested, but yes, I really should start by RTFM! ;)
