Hey TinkerDifferent!

My blue and white G3, sadly, has the first-generation logic board with problematic IDE. It's working fine right now, but I'd like to put an SSD in it. I have little domain knowledge with Macs of this vintage - what's a solid SATA card that is plug-and-play?

I'm also interested in other upgrade options, like video cards and known-good SCSI cards. I have a 400 MHz processor for it, but not the jumpers to clock it up correctly. If anyone knows the jumper pitch for these, I would appreciate it.

If you have the necessary equipment and skills, you can make your own SATA controller following Xodium's thread here: https://tinkerdifferent.com/threads...ci-power-mac-impossibru-updated-9-21-22.1494/

If you don't, and you don't mind paying a bit more for oven-ready plug&play I can confirm that this one is already flashed and working: https://www.ebay.com/itm/265859965269

@PotatoFi I have the programmer and can mail you a flashed chip if you're ok de-soldering and re-soldering the chip to the board.
