Hi all, I just got my first Quadra 700. It has no VRAM Simms installed so probably defaulting to 512k(?) VRAM.
I want to extend that to get true color on my 13" RGB Monitor. Would it work to install just 2x256k VRAM Simms? Do they even have to be installed in pairs? Or should I go full throttle with six 256k VRAM Simms? Thanks in advance for your help! |

Ah, I found something. It seems not to be helpful to install just two VRAM Simms when targeting 640x480 resolution. So, I will extend it fully to 2MB.

One of my favorite things about this hobby is upgrading these old machines to their maximum potential. It's like fulfilling a promise.
