When my Radeon R7 M440 died years ago, I had to pull out my old 1gb Radeon HD6790 and have been using that for the past 3 years relegated to primarily TOTC gaming ie: UT/Q3A/Q2/COD/2/HL/2/CSS/Feart etc. Granted Ive been pretty busy so not much time to game in earnest, so not much loss there I guess. Being that the games I play are mostly really old ones, the only newish games I wanted to sink my teeth into were DoomE or RUST (Kai's server has gotten me interested) so I think this 2017 8gb RX580 should do that just fine with 60+ FPS. Anyhow, when I saw this come up on Amazon at around $80 shipped NIB, I figured it was a cheap upgrade for my gaming box, so I picked it up. Just popped it in and am very happy with the performance in the generation games Im playing.
Perfect GPU for Retro gamers. |
