Thanks to @Byte Knight and his wonderful Captain's Quarter II BBS, I learned about OS9.ca.

It's a fantastic website that beautifully recreates the '90s underground Mac scene. I haven't transferred the files I've downloaded to a vintage Mac to confirm they deliver the goods, but the site looks amazing nevertheless.

Thanks for the kudos! I'm in contact with the person who runs that site and we'll be trying to create a desktop link to CQ II. Something like a ZTerm icon that launches a telnet emulator and connects you directly to the BBS...
