I am bringing an Octane back to life... Hinv says it has an EMXI video board. Part number 030-1240-003. Machine boots up fine to the splash screen, etc. but when I run the system diagnostics I get the error "RDRAM Quick Failed XIO Slot 12 Part number 030-1240-003 MOT20 Rev C". The research I've done seems to indicate this might be related to the TRAM modules on the card. What's the best way to move forward to further diagnose or fix this issue?
Haven't done my IRIX install yet to see what things look like with the desktop running. |

To wrap back around on this thread...
Seems the RAM on the card was failed, and no real way (that I could find) to isolate and/or replace. I ended up buying another video card which is working great. |
