Hi everyone,
I have a fully working Atari Mega 4 with Megafile 60 hard disk. Now I'd like to make a backup of the hard disk in case it should fail in the future. I can transfer files to my vintage Macs using 720k floppy disks, but this would be a tedious work ;) What can I do? I guess there is no way to attach the ACSI disk to a Mac's SCSI bus? What about data transfer using a Null-Modem cable? The best would be to have a true disk image of the drive, but the files alone would suffice for the instant. Many thanks, Robin |

Hi! :)
I found discussion about transferring files between an Atari ST and the Mac over at the Atari-Forum: Getting Mega STe soon... best way to transfer with Mac? Modem cables and SCSI are two of the ways discussed there. However, it is not clear cut. For example, Atari uses ASCI rather than SCSI. UltraSatan is SD card adapter for the Atari. That forum has a Wiki and I found a page on transferring files. Hopefully those are good places to start and go from there. |
