I read that the factory made Macintosh XL's has a Macintosh XL nameplate. However, I have never seen one, nor have I been able to locate an image of one.

Has anyone seen one?

I saw it mentioned here:

Was the Mac XL hardware different from the last versions of the Lisa?

The Lisa was a fairly impressive platform for the day. In comparison to the original Macintosh, the two did have different displays and aspect ratios but the Lisa also had additional hardware such ...

All of the above may bear a Macintosh XL name plate, but only the last one may be a factory made one (or field upgraded), as the name plate was separate available for licensed dealers. Click to expand...

I'm thinking their recall was incorrect. I looked all over and it just didn't seem to exist.

Apple rebranded the Lisa and released the Macintosh XL on January 1, 1985. The Macintosh XL did not have a front name badge. It did not have any label on the case that identified as "Macintosh XL," but there were labels of the model and serial numbers affixed on the bottom.
