I just went to message someone at MacGurus and found a nice "We're closed" web page, but no way of contacting anyone.

I wanted to contact them about the possibility of TinkerDifferent hosting their old forum in read only format.

Anyone have a contact?

Last pull from the wayback machine that still has their sales website active is from July 2024, so they have been shutdown for 6 months. Maybe you can harvest the contact form there or see if there are any other email links.

I was going to go check my personal email archives from when I was a moderator there and hope anything I found was still good 20 years later... I think your idea is better.

I've now reached out to all three of my target old fora. The only person I know I've reached is Jeff Keller of PowerWatch. He's checking whether he still has an archive of PowerWatch.

And bounced. "email address could not be found or was misspelled."

I also tried [email protected].

I guess it's off to my old email archives.

The only experience I have with domain name registration is the few domains I have. I've seen the anonymized contact option, but never looked closely at it.

If I email a message to [email protected] will they forward it to the domain holder or will it just go to dev/null?

I filled in the form from their website and requested contact with the site owner. Left a message, we will see what happens.
