I've only watched the first 5 minutes, but it looks like a great film. Thanks for sharing it, Eric.
I still have my Newton 2100 (in a Newton 2000 case), which still works. [Image: 2789811500_fded9dd2e0_o.jpg] I modded it many years ago so I wouldn't need a dongle to connect things like the keyboard (which I also have). [Image: 2792335474_5c3322c50d_o.jpg] I have various flash cards for it and a ton of software installed. The main down side (other than it being slow by today's standards) is that the LCD can be hard to see unless you turn on the backlight. The backlight makes a small whine, but that's a feature, not a bug. It's part of the charm of that lovely device. Here's the official Apple video about the Newton, from 1994... UPDATE Just finished watching the entire film. Brought back warm memories of my years on Newtontalk.net, speaking with the giants like Grant Hutchinson, Simon Bell, Paul Guyot, and Sonny Hung. I must say though that I didn't realize how deeply involved Steve Capps was with the Newton. Very enlightening. All said, I'm very please I never got rid of my Newton. I holds a special place in my heart.

It was an honour to be part of this film.
Noah did a great job pulling together so many different people involved with the Newton. Liked by Mac84,JDWanderic |
