I'm hoping someone can confirm or deny the diameter of a Kensington Trackball from an ADB Turbo Mouse 5.0 (Model 64210).

I've read at that it is the same size as a regulation pool ball (57.15mm / 2.25in).

That sounds sweet, but I wonder if anyone has had a negative experience actually using a pool ball, since it's considerably heavier. Does it cause more wear on the rollers?

I'd like to replace the stock off white ball with something more distinctive. A pool ball would be a good alternative to an OEM trackball. Unless it's easier to find one that fits than I think, because multiple generations of the ball are the same diameter. They're hard to find on eBay without the whole unit (I just need the ball)

Yes, it is a 2.25" standard regulation size billiard ball. I have been using one in mine for a while.

But I did find that the one I got was so polished it was slipping on the rollers. I washed it with soap thinking it might be some oil but that didn't help. I ended up using a blank piece of paper to depolitish it a bit and that solved it.

Great. I found an old ball with an interesting typeface. Had no idea some were double circled and all that.
