Hi
So I picked up a new in box imac G3 DV - first thing that happens when I got the mac turned on was the No hard disc symbol so I fitted a working drive but it immediately died and subsequently killed two more working drives - so I'm assuming the power to the drive must be the issue - I'm not great with electrical problems so some tips / guides on how to proceed to find a solution would be very much welcomed Thanks in advance |

Measure the voltage rails on the hard drive power connector with a multimeter. Go ahead and google how to do this, there are plenty of guides on how to test power off one of those 4 pin molex connectors.
