| I just received a Toshiba MSX HX-10 |

And I don't know where to get started with it. It boots up fine, but other than the cables for the display it didn't come with anything else. Do these MSX machines have any modern peripherals that I can load software to it? I guess I should also buy some cartridges, but have no idea which ones are the best to get.

What version of the HX-10 is it? There were numerous revisions such as the SP, D, E etc.

What keyboard layout does it have, QWERTY (UK) or QWERTY (US) ?

Aaah then its the HX-10P - the UK keyboard variant of the Japanese Market HX-10DP - also with 64KB RAM :)
