I found this guide when needing to remap a key on my AEKII that uses a DIY usb-adb adapter. The method should work for any keyboard:

An ItsyBitsy 16mhz 5v with a binary I found online. I haven't even soldered the resistor so it's a bit finicky but it works most of the time. Sometimes the keyboard dies and I have to reconnect it.
