Finally got this classic back in my fold. If I recall, this was our 2nd boxed PC game bought for our late 1991 386SX/25, probably around its time of release in 1992. This RPG series is revered among C64 (for the early ones at least) and PC users alike. This was the first entry into VGA and broke ground significantly even more than all previous entries in the series (which was know to break ground as par for course). No fiddly text inventories, dynamic 'lived in' cities with people with jobs and routines and commutes, lush VGA graphics and of course, Roland MT-32 support for those fortunate to own one.

In 1994, my father lent it to one of his business partners. A few years later, after I asked it back, he forgot this had happened at all and couldn't remember the persons name. Grrr. This gnawed on my soul Well, case resolved, thanks to biting the bullet and going on ebay.

Freaking stoked this has the map and the ridiculous Fellowship medallion. This edition had the 5.25 inch disks and it seems to have the beginnings of disk mold, but it doesn't matter much since I have no drive to read these up. The seller told me it was half-shrink wrapped and probably never saw regular use before he finished the job to take pictures for the sale.

Enjoy this trip down memory lane from a time where manuals had BEEF and RPGs had cloth maps!

Bonus round - these were bought AFTER Ultima VII back in the day (1993ish) to satisfy some completionist streak (such was the power of game companies such as Sierra and Origin). I'm noticing both the Ultima VI disks and its cloth map are missing, maybe I lent them out to someone or are just lost to time.
