My DD is a 2009 2.26ghz IC2D MBP - gift from IT director at work. He knows I like Apple stuff and was going to recycling otherwise. The 20" ACD was bundled with a PPC 2ghz DC pmg5 Craigslist pickup couple years back. Nestled in between is Moms nativity set when she was a kid. The bubble bulbs above were actually throw aways at a catholic charity. I think they're cool so rescued them the dump. I have TreeTopLights running and picked up neat old timey Christmas card pic on the MBP and modern well done CG Xmas tree on the ACD

I have two that burnt out so will take a small modeling dremel to them to see if it's something I can retrofit with a normal c7 bulb (put them back together) and keep them going. It really seems wasteful to throw them out if I can get a new bulb in the sealed plastic base somehow. The cheapest I have found them (only at one place mind you) this season is $10 USD for two, so sounds like a worth while effort. Oh man, treetoplights app has frosty flying across my screen like crazy.

Love the holidays :)

Very nice! Theres something to be said about these MBPs, solid build quality and a joy to use. I have the exact same one given to me by a friend.

Some of my Macs wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

(Note: the 2019 5K iMac and the 1998 PowerBook G3 PDQ are - the eMac decided that it didn't like my AIO Keyboard/Trackpad and locked up!)

Great entries. For the record I actually had three bubblers that broke and I was able to retrofit two with LED bulbs and they still bubble - dremeled them apart and glued them back together with hot glue. I was worried the LED heat output would be too low for the methylene chloride to react but they still make bubbles which is great. Cheap fix/bulb upgrade. [christmas-tree]

Believe it or not, this IIsi came with Xmas lights already installed by a previous owner. Their other theming choices were not so tasteful! (Think Windows 3.1 hot dog stand.)

This pic has been driving me crazy :D At first I thought those stringed instruments were basses with the four tuning pegs but the neck seems too thin for that. Are those something like electric ukes or banjos?

Drake already told me that I won everything because I am his favorite (even more than Stephen) over on the Discord chat.

The lab here is also a music studio. All the instruments are on a guitar rack are indeed basses and are mostly Gibson Les Paul's. There's also an upright bass leaning on a piano in the way back. Good eye for noticing!

I am a bassist of 29 years give or take a few months. Now, a LP bass is one Gibson (played a few momentarily but that doesn't count) I have never owned all these years. Man, the neck profile on those looks very thin & fast front to back, almost like a ric. Anyhow, I wanted to try and figure out how to get my basses & gear in my xmas mac pic but all my music gear is in a cave separate from my lair of retrological awesomeness. Maybe next year. Anyhow, thanks for sharing.
