Hi,
I'm looking for a replacement screen for my PowerBook 145. The one I have shows no image, and likely needs to be recapped, but it's also in such bad shape that I think recapping would be pointless (see https://mastodon.social/@arroz/114885847127173227). So, I'm looking for a new one, for whatever definition of "new". The one I have is the LM64P51. There are these guys selling a few supposedly compatible panels (https://www.yoycart.com/Product/528329894933/) including similar screens that were on revision C of this powerbook (apparently I have revision A), like the LM64P58 or Sharp LM64P582. What I'm trying to figure out is the differences between the panels sold by yoycart to know if I can buy any of those. However, I can't find the datasheets for any of these displays. Does anyone happen to have them? Also, if anyone does have one of these screens in good condition, let me know. :) Thank you, Miguel Arroz |

These guys are pretty good, they have the panels you need, too: https://www.applemacparts.co.uk/pow...60-165-lcd-display?special_filter_category=75
I believe @Androda makes compatible cables for these displays, too. |

Hi!
That's the thing, I'm not entirely sure if the LM64P58 and LM64P51 are interchangeable without swapping the inverter board as well. Mine outputs 300V, 7mARMS while the board for the LM64P58 outputs 400V, 5mARMS (they can be seen side by side here: https://www.tindie.com/products/explit/apple-powerbook-140-145-160-165-inverter-recapped/). Of course I could always order those very same boards, they ship from the EU so I don't even have to deal with import taxes. :) Thank you, Miguel Arroz |
