Unfortunately, I've never owned any Atari HW (yet), apart from playing on my friend's old beater 2600 as a kid in the 80's and in the 90s owning the awesome but ahead-of-its-time networkable Lynx handheld.
I'm under the weather with a flu, so I've been watching a lot of retro films to chill, including Cloak and Dagger (1984). It's a kids film, but is very fun and watchable and really more of a teenage film, with lots of 8bit Atrari hardware. I'd love to read the comments of the Atari people here so I can learn more. There is of course a marketing tie-in with a similarly named board RPG of the era. I was a D&D nerd snob so never played that. One of my favourite movies as a kid. ISTR that it was actually on Atari's video game hardware of the time, though (similar, based on the 6502 and POKEY, but not directly compatible). I don't think there was ever a home computer port of it but it plays very well in MAME.
