Hello all, thanks for having me here....
My name is Chris, and I am from the Netherlands.
Since 1991 Ive owned my Classic II....and ive used it with pleasure.
Then due to a change into 2D and 3D CAD software, i had to move over to a pc. The classic was stored in the attic.
Totally forgotten, I rediscovered it again in 2018 and.... it was dead. Lack of further knowledge, (I am no real electronics tinkerer) the internals were removed,
But I stored the main components.
Ive always liked its portability, it was in need for modern daily use speed.
So I did -after a long thought- convert it with a ITX board, possible with Hackintoshing for the future.
That was a succes, and its back in daily use now.

Then my sister, who also got her Classic II in the same time period, donated that one to me to restore it.
So I recapped it, and also my original II board. That worked out well, and got a taste for more.

I went searching for a Color Classic Mac and a LC 575, but here in the Netherlands - these are hard to find- and if, expensive.

Alternatively I did find a 630 performa in poor state... It does function, but can smell the caps. Now toying to get a 630 in a SE/30 case, that is my next project.

Just wondering if I should start a topic for this under small classic mac or centris/quadra/performa....

Anyone?

You should post that in the Frankenstein section...

Kidding apart... it will be nice to know how that project goes. I just hope that SE/30 you'd be using is just a case or one that is beyond repair... else it would be sad ;)

Yes, its real Frankenstein SE/40
Just like CC Mystics or Takky's I guess.

I was able to get my hands on some gutted cases......a nice SE30 in good working order was also on my wishlist.
At the current prices also no real option to me.

But I guess you won't be using the CRT, right?

Anyone have any clues on how to reduce the screen area used by sheepshaver or basilisk. I'm setting up a pi and ipad lcd to use in a case. I can get raspeberian os to a suitable screen size on the display ie about 9" diagonal by using overscan on the config.txt file but when I start either sheep or Bas it defaults to the full screen even though I've launched it from pios terminal which is to big for the case crt opening. Tried setting screen win/800/600 in sheep config file but makes no difference. Any other commands that can be used to make sheep rin in a smaller window? Thanks
