How is it possible that the 68kmla forum is unable to send password reset emails and no one cares? There is an admin notice from November 2024 that just says they are aware of the issue. Madness.
Is anyone here able to contact the admin? Liked by tom_Bandmac27 |

While we have some members that might frequent it - we have no affiliation with that forum.

I've heard they're just approving accounts after XYZ amount of time passes. Sigh.

@patters
One may also wish to ask them why they only allow people an eyebrow-raising 40 min. to Edit Posts. They lock them down after that. So if you post something in the morning and then drive to work and a few hours later realized that you made some serious grammar or spelling errors, that unfortunate 40min. time limit prevents you from editing any of that. If they try to argue that the have a 40min. time limit (arbitrarily chosen, mind you) to prevent people from fighting amongst each other and getting back at each other by editing their posts, you can point them to our forum because we aren't so restrictive and we don't have a problem here at all. People really can be allowed to edit their posts and behave just fine. Be careful if you do ask because they'll probably issue you warning points simply for asking. No joke. But the list of issues goes on and on, including the lack of email notifications for incoming PMs, and past cases of major data loss due to either bad backups or server glitches. Suffice it to say the reasons we founded TinkerDifferent are many, and to date we've committed ourselves to ensuring this forum doesn't repeat the mistake that continue to plague other forums. Bullies and Gatekeepers aren't welcome here either. So far, we've been able to achieve that and provide a great user experience too. While it is unfortunate to hear what's going on in that other forum, we do hope your time here will be productive and enjoyable. Liked by Trash80toG4,tom_Bandmac27 |

I'm locking this thread as it's already diverged from its original purpose. Tinker Different is not affiliated with 68kMLA and we can't answer to how their operations work.
