Grabbing it tonight or tomorrow. Stoked! I been looking for options for a server, and this will match Apple stuff, even if it's Linux inside. LOL.

Woohoo!

Turns out it's a whole computer. He can't find the hard drive, so he's giving it to me for freeeee.

ok, so... i get happy Mac sounds but no video output. Hmm...

Tried the card in the other 16x slot, same result. Looks like it's very likely the gpu.

What exact model is it? PPC had the apple label under the bottom of the metal side door, Intel machines have it printed on the back near the card slots.

PPC take a good 30+ seconds to display anything on screen for me... I haven't booted up my 3,1 (2008) in over a year, but I was trying different video cards at the time... I will pull it out and have a look. How long did you wait after the chime?

At one point, I ADHD'd out and forgot about it. Haha. Even by then, no video output.
