February 3, 2024 Board Meeting

Attendance:

Agenda:

Item 1:

Forum and Board Governance Documents

Notes:

• There have been many situations over the last year for which there was minimal guidance provided by previous Boards
• A document for governance ideas and suggestions has been created

Action Items:

• Androda to split the document into topics and post into the 2023 Board forum for asynchronous coordination of ideas and Board-level votes on these documents
• Once the Board feels the Governance Documents are in a good place, they will be presented in a vote to adopt as standards

Item 2:

Board Member Livestream

Notes:

• We held a livestream last year in March for Q&A, presenting interesting projects, etc
• Should we make this somewhat of a tradition, yearly livestream from the Board?

Action Items:

• @Kai Robinson will work on putting together a list of projects
• @Branchus to coordinate a thread about the livestream and help facilitate the stream itself

Item 3:

Calendar Competition Follow-Through

Notes:

• In the rush to release the Tinker Different 2024 calendar, our competition winners were neglected

Action Items:

• @eric to gather shipping information for everyone whose picture was used in the calendar
  • Eric will handle shipping calendars to everyone in the US
  • @Branchus will handle calendars for any Australian individuals
  • Other locations will be figured out as they are determined

Item 4:

Performing a review of a user ban

Notes:

• It was brought to our attention that the ban message sent to a particular user was inappropriate
• The ban itself was reviewed by all present Board members, and it was decided the ban will remain in force

Action Items:

• A public statement will be prepared and released about the inappropriate ban message
